Good Guy, Bad Guy
This article was written by Phoebe Lee.
"It is important for a girl to know these types so that she can make better choices. Here are the most common;
THE BAD
a) The Quick Escape Artist . This man comes on like a hurricane. Then, six weeks later, he's got a million excuses why he can't see you anymore.
How to spot him. He gets a lot of phone calls from women, and dresses in a peculiar combination of styles. And he eats at odd hours.
b) The Woman Hater. He pursues you relentlessly and treats you fabulously. But after he wins you, everything that was right about you is suddenly wrong.
How to spot him. He charges his credit card to the limit. He owns several versions of the same item, doesn't want to be a parent and may be estranged from his family.
c) The Secret Manipulator. He's kind and makes a good impression on others, but somehow, things always go his way, never yours.
How to spot him. He likes children, but wants to control them and is very protective of family members. He isn't style-conscious and is a do-it-yourselfer who keeps his cars a long time.
d) The Intense (but crazy) Man. This man is so magnetic, you would surrender your own life to him. But he does everything to extremes.
How to spot him. He seems exhausted much of the time, probably smokes and forgets to eat. He's a secretive loner who doesn't have much money and is often angry at family members.
e) The Hustler. He's after one thing and one thing only: SEX!
How to spot him. He's a good dresser who's physically fit, tries to stay young and often drives a sexy sports car. He lives in an apartment or condominium furnished with lots of mirrors and rarely mentions his family.
THE GOOD
a) The Loving, Traditional Man. This man's woman is just about the most important thing in his life. He wants a good home and family more than anything else.
How to recognise him. He dresses conservatively, has good manners and likes order. He chooses practical cars, is careful with money and relies on you to keep him healthy by preparing nutritious meals.
b) The Loving, many-faceted Man. He's the man most women seem to want. he's an equal pal and partner who has many interests.
How to recognise him. He thinks of himself as the greatest at whatever he does and has had several career changes. He considers his home a nest, spends money freely and wants to be a father. He enjoys people, but has few close friends.
c) The Loving, Limited Partner. This man is very independent and needs a woman who is, too. He's romantic and thoughtful. However, you'll always be second to his work.
How to recognise him. He's often quiet and thinks of himself as logical and rational. He dresses and grooms himself to perfection, takes good care of his car and lives in a very comfortable home. He may want no children, though, because they take up too much time.

Gone are the days....
I came to close contact to dogs when I start to work for dad at workshop as he kept 2 dogs as his faithful security guards. As they are huge, I'm not really attracted to them as they don't look too friendly and not too clean. I mean they constantly have slivers at the edge of their mouth & they smell.
I started to grow fond of them as my uncle didn't really take good care of them, especially in terms of their daily meals. He just come once in a day to feed them, moreover, it's the same meal EVERYDAY! Yuck! Imagine having bread mixed with some other stuff, I really don't know what he had the bread cooked with, I don't think so I'll be able to survive with it every single day and the same meal!
Worst, just a meal a day when a human had probably fixed 3 meals a day, or if lucky, 5 meals a day. How to survive for such a big dog. I sometimes had to ask "H" to get some bones for the dogs by just 'tapau' Chicken rice from the stall so I can buy from them. Both the dogs are named, "Ruby" - an old female yellow dog & "Boy" - just a year & a half black male dog.
Besides that, the shop across us also have few dogs. One in particular is extra short & extra arrogrant. He'll drop by our shop and gave some fiercy barks for no reason while scratching himself. He also loves to scratch himself in the middle of the road, fearing no car coming at all! The neighbour didn't really take care of the dogs, so most of the dogs also have skin problems. Sometimes, it's just hurtful to see them suffer like this and didn't have an actual satisfying meal.
It was just very unfortunate that this dog was run over by a lorry, it happened right in front of our shop. I still remembered him crying out loud, saying goodbye & kissing the other dog just before he passed away. It was so sad. Then, came another street dog which I believe, someone threw her away. She's a pretty one, with her four feets in white & other part of the body in black.
I've never heard her bark before and she's super happy whenever she see's you. Though, she's not so active in the day and always sleeping here & there and hangs out nearby our shop. Sometimes, when I returned home at night, she'll switched her hang out place to the shops below my house. She's hyper active at night whenever I get to bump into her at night! One bad habit that she also likes to sleep in the middle of the road! What's wrong with all the dogs?! Unfortunately, she too got caught by MPSJ officials when they came clearing the street dogs.
With 2 of the dogs missing in my life, I gave my attention to "Boy" again. He's a cutie, eventhough he's big, he never bites and is very playful. He's extremely hyper active when you're feeding him, I guess the food my uncle gave him is just not enough. Imagine a meal a day, I can't too. I just started to get close to him, started to pat him and he loves it.....and unfortunately, he was sick all of a sudden.
He lose his appetite and didn't want to eat. Then, he started to throw up and wasn't as happy before, he was not himself. Though we told my uncle few times, he just fed him Panadol. On this particular day, on the 23rd August, he just sat at one corner with his back facing us. Though we called him few times, he doesn't want to look at us and soon after, he passed away.
It is so sad that I had to watch 3 dogs passed away this year alone. I'm not sure if I should really keep a dog as my pet in future.....as it could be just so hurtful for them to leave us.

AP Reveals Drugs and Medicines in Drinking Water Supplies Worldwide, an article by Elken Magazine
Do you even know that according to Malaysia's Chemistry Department, which provides water testing services for enforcement and monitoring purposes, it has never done tests for the presence of drugs in drinking or surface water samples & never received a request to do so?
Imagine, not all the medication consumed is absorbed by the body.
Some drugs like antibiotic ciprofloxacin and digoxin for heart problems are hard to metabolise with only about half used. Other drugs like metaformin for diabetes and atenolol for high blood pressure, are not metabolised as much, and at least 80% of these pills end up in the toilet.
Some people also flush down their unused medications.
This wastewater is then treated before being discharged into reservoirs, rivers or lakes and is cleansed again at the water treatment plants before reaching your home.
The EPA says there are no sewage treatment systems specifically engineered to remove pharmaceuticals.
WORSE, there is evidence that adding chlorine during water treatment processes actually more some pharmaceuticals MORE TOXIC!
Do you know?
There's a big difference between filtering and purifying:
a) Filtering - basically means removal of particles, smell and colour
b) Purifying - uses a technology that combines different methodologies to deliver water in the
purest form possible
I'm glad that my family decided to buy this filter for our home, with our 8th instalment paid up. We need not to worry to fork out extra cash when I move in to my new home......

Fun Day Out at the Platinum Movie Suite of Cathay Cineplex
The movie was fantastic and it's such a loss that Heath no longer live. I really can't believe he act the "Joker" part, he is just great! I can't seemed to explain it in words. Like I said, he's just GREAT!!
We reached Cineleisure just on time, so there's really no time for us to explore the Suite as we head direct into the Cinema. We ordered a bottle of Pepsi and the Spicy Potato Wedges, though it came only after 30mins the show started, the taste is quite good!
Seat is very comfortable, adjustments done with just a touch of button. I can sleep during the show. Service is also good, of course. Screen & sound system is good. Seating arrangements are exactly the same as GSC's Gold Class, with a table in between of the 2 chairs. "H" was complaining how hard it is to chat or to hold me during the show, he just wished they would have done something better with the chair design, exclusively for couples? Haha....!! Naughty, Naughty!

Dedicated to the Only 'You'
Did I not know, time flies this fast,
Coming again to mark in our heart,
This 8th Anniversary.
I'm dedicating this to you,
Only it could express how I feel for you,
If only this song would follow everywhere you go,
To make you feel how special you're to me.
No Air - Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?
(Jordin)
If I should die before I wake
It's cause you took my breath away
(Chris)
I'm here alone, didn't wanna leave
My heart won't move, it's incomplete
Wish there was a way that I can make you understand
(Jordin)
Do you expect me, to live alone with just me?
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe
(Chorus - Both)
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
That's how I feel whenever you ain't there
There's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell e how you gonna be without me?
If you ain't here, I just can't breathe
There's no air, no air
No air, No air
No air, No air
(Chris)
I walked, I ran, I jumped, I flew
Right off the ground to flow to you
There's no gravity to hold me down, for real
(Jordin)
But somehow I'm still alive inside
You took my breath but I survived
I don't know how but I don't even care
(Both)
So how do you expect me, to live alone with just me?
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe
(Chorus - Both)
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
That's how I feel whenever you ain't there
There's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you gonna be without me?
If you ain't here, I just can't breathe
There's no air, no air
No air, No air
No air, No air
No more
No air
Baby
There's no air, no air
Hey, OooOoo
OOooooooooohhhhhhh
Repeat (Chorus - Both)
(Jordin)
Do you expect me, to live alone with just me
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe
Repeat (Chorus - Both)

An article of "Tapping on Nature's Rainbow for Health"
Colour in food comes from pigments which are generally grouped into 7 different colours - green, yellow, orange, red, blue, purple and white. Pigments are important because they contain phytonutrients which contain high levels of antioxidants. Those in;
Red
Some Phytonutrients: Lycopene, anthocyanidin, ellagic acid
Benefits: Protect heart, reduce risk of cancer, improve blood flow and strengthen eye functions
Sources: Strawberry, raspberry, lingonberry, beetroot, tomato
Orange
Some phytonutrients: Beta-carotene, bio-flavonoid, caroteniods
Benefits: Beneficial to eyes, skin, vascular health & immunity, may reduce liver cancer risk
Sources: Carrot, spinach, kale, papaya
Green
Some phytonutrients: Chlorophyll, lutein
Benefits: Maintain healthy cardiovascular functions, help reduce atherosclerosis, purify blood
Sources: Barley grass, wheat grass, broccoli, green leafy vegetables
Blue
Some phytonutrients: Anthocyanidins, ellagic acid, flavonols
Benefits: Help reduce risk of cancer, protect against harmful effects of UV rays
Sources: Blueberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, grape, strawberry
Purple
Some phytonutrients: Anthocyanidins, resveratrol, ellagic acid
Benefits: Help prevent heart disease & DNA damage, slows down ageing process
Sources: Blueberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, grape, strawberry, eggplant
Yellow
Some phytonutrients: Liminoids, curcumin, caroteniods, zeaxanthin, xantophyll
Benefits: For healthy vision, protect skin from UV damage, may reduce breast, lung and prostate cancer
Sources: Carrot, corn, kale
White
Some phytonutrients: Allicin, glucosinolates, isothiocyanates
Benefits: Regulate immune response, prevent cell inflammation and vital infections, boosts the immune system
Sources: Broccoli, kale, garlic, onions
Taking food high in phytonutrients and antioxidants can help to ward off illnesses, prevent most chronic diseases and premature ageing. Phytonutrients are actually Mother Nature's medicine - they are the plant's defence mechanism against pests, bacteria, ultraviolet radiation, free radicals and countless diseases. Evidence indicates that phytonutrients help repair and rebuild damaged cells, inhibit cancer-producing substances and boost immunity by mobilising the body's immune cells.
Thus, the best way to take advantage of nature's "medicine" is by consuming a variety of fruits and vegetables across all 7 colour groups. Eating your way to health is as easy as having a rainbow-inspired menu that is chock-full of phytonutrients and antioxidants. With FITORAC (a product by Elken), you can enjoy 4,000 ORAC units, one of the highest antioxidant content in the market, derived from 21 natural and organic fruits and vegetables across all 7 food colour groups.
Just 1 spoonful a day in a glass of water or juice, you'll be charged up and ready to go!

Fuel price hike
Some shop owners who usually finishes work at 6pm have to drive back to shop & hang out for hours before they can leave due to massive jam lining right outside Petronas & Shell fuel station. The queue was so long until it lead to a massive jam to the highway, what I can say it, it causes inconveniences to all RAKYAT!! I have to stay at home till 9.30pm before I can head out for dinner with "H", but the traffic is still horrible!
The new pump price for petrol will be RM 2.70 (US$ 0.87) and RM 2.58 for diesel. Petrol previously costs RM 1.92, which was claimed among the cheapest in Asia. I wonder how much it would costs to pump Shell V-Power then?
First, it was increase of food, now it's fuel & raw materials, next it's electric and like all protestors says, "Petrol is hiked but salaries are not!".
Now that the ringgit currency sank, I wonder how would we survive in the next coming months?
Good news for Thais and Singaporeans though, as they are now allowed to buy fuel at border petrol stations after a recent ban was lifted in view of the subsidy cut.

Passing by Earthquake?
Dad decided to go to bed early today. Mum said she wanted to watch Scoop'08 on Wah Lai Toi before she go to bed, while having her plate of vegetables. I decided to go online to check out the forum set up for my new house.
Just by 10.29pm, I think, I felt a little dizzy but at the same time, heard mum panicking, "Why is OUR house moving?!"
I was shocked! Indeed, it wasn't what I thought as dizzy, in fact, I felt the house moved for a while. Both my palm was on the floor at that time and felt like a wave, I still remember both my arms followed the wave.....I panicked and ran into the room to wake my dad up.
We didn't see anybody from anywhere else ran out so dad just insisted that we just stay. I guess mum wouldn't be able to sleep tonight, neither do I. I think both of us would hit the sack in the LIVING HALL today.
Let's just see if there's gonna be any news tomorrow that Puchong was hit by a wave of earthquake??!

Just a Bad Day....
"H" was driving me home to drop some stuff before we head to pasar malam. Almost reaching to the car park at my house, I spot some people hanging out at the shop below. Just when "H" make a quick turn to park his car, I could see a very fast moving object and light towards us. "H" step on the brake and all I could heard was a loud CRASH.
There, 2 person on our car bonnet and my heart was racing so fast. I was stunned and I was praying that they are not hurt. "H" and I just step out of the car but I was worried too in case these 2 person are road bullies. There were so many people surrounding us in just less than 30 seconds.
Even those people hanging around the shop told "H" that they didn't even see where the motorcycle came out from. Luckily, they escaped unhurt and they don't even dare to check our car condition. They just checked their motorcycle condition and told "H" later, "I guess we just settle lah, since both parties are unhurt". Of course, as we think they do not have any license and they did not even dare to take a glance at our car.
The bits & pieces of our car number plate.....
The crime scene, where the accident took place...
The 2 person causes us more damages. A number plate, a broken headlamp, crooked fender and scratches....
We took the car for repair the next day and luckily it costs us less than RM 100....hehe!!

WTF!
Today, I guess he just decided to attack me again. I just don't know why uncles (UNCLES), they just like to "BULLSHIT" and kept on praising themselves that they are the BEST and they DO KNOW EVERYTHING. Yeap, the correct and new word that I learned today is EGO = an exaggerated sense of self-importance. Yes, this is the explanation that I was looking for.
One thing that they didn't know is that THEY do not know how to RESPECT & LISTEN as they are SELF-CENTERED which explains to concerned solely of chiefly with one's own interests, welfare, engrossed in self, selfish, egotistical.
I was so P.O that I just walked and walked to calm myself down. I had no money in my pocket and the nearest and suitable place to go while reading the mantra in my heart.....I just walked over to the mine to watch people fishing and the wind blowing to my face was just soothing.
The fishing place was a wreck and looked dangerous, but I guess they just don't mind....

Happy Chap Goh Meh!!
Today's also the Chinese style Valentine's Day on this very last day of New Year. We just went for a simple dinner on the 14th as we wasn't really in the mood to do it on an actual day. You know the best, food comes in sets where you can't choose the ala carte's and prices will shoot way up high just even before "H" could grab the stars for me.
So we went to the Golden Egg Noodles just oppossite IOI Mall to celebrate and "H" whispers for another actual Valentine Dinner later that week. ^-^ Wink Wink!!
Our love potion drinks for the night......
"H's" Chillie Pan Mee...so spicy it causes him to have stomachache the next day, poor "H"
My Singapore Laksa Pan Mee...causes me minor stomachache as well..
All these just costs us about RM 15...cheap, tasty & we have a satisfied stomach. Hehe.....
Wondering where is "H" going to bring me for the dinner tonight....Looking forward.

Our New Year Dinner!!

Our simple Valentine Celebration
They could say what they like,
But all I know is,
Everything's gonna be alright.
And no one, no one, no one,
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling,
No one, no one, no one,
Can get in the way of what I feel,
For you, you, you,
Can get in the way of what I feel for you.

"H's" BIG DAY!!

LAST DAY of our Singapore Trip
Buddy thought I was sad to shop alone as mentioned in my last post. I wasn't, I was just overwhelmed when "H" sms me & said we can finally meet later that night when he comes to pick me up. I just couldn't imagine myself being alone in another country bracing through every single day....I just can't do it without my family, "H" and friends. Therefore, I really salute my buddy, Megan which will soon spend her 2nd year there.
I could only remember that I went to Harbourfront, whisking away to Tampines, then to Bugis (crazy with too much shops & ppl) and rush back to Harbourfront! I was supposed to have dinner with buddy and others before head for the bus, but time just wouldn't allow me to do it. I told myself that I must get some bread & also a cup of my favourite Starbucks green tea ice blended as a way to pamper myself after the hard day.
When I reached to Harbourfront, all others are still busy doing last minute shopping. I went to Aeroline counter without others to re-pack some shopping bags, while Mr & Mrs Tiong are all prepared waiting at the lounge. As the bus was waiting downstairs, 3 of us head towards the bus first in case they do not wait for others, so we can stop them just in case.
Others turn up right on the dot. It was sad for us to drop Megan all alone, we just can't stop ourselves saying goodbye to her.....even in the bus, it was heartache to see her waving back to us standing there all alone. Suddenly, Mrs Tiong went panic said she forgotten to bring their passports!! Her face was really really white but Mr Tiong was just so cool and said "It's ok, we just go down and get our bags". Mrs Tiong was still stunned and didn't move.
It went haywire that time, we waved back to Megan showing the passport and she was confused. While Mr Tiong stopped the driver from moving and asked the assistant to give them the bags. Instead of all 6 of us, only 4 of us went home with that bus, leaving at 6.45pm...without Mr & Mrs Tiong but indeed Eunice and Angie was delighted as they could have an extra seat for themselves.
We were served food after Singapore & Johor customs. With a "Chicken Rice Shop" sticker smacked on top of the container, of course there'll be chicken inside but there isn't any. Just some fish in curry, some vege, wantons & rice....yupe, that's our dinner. We finished them quickly...then were served hot drinks. Later, they give us blankets and we have a nice journey back home.
There goes all of our 4 fantastic holiday together. It's all FANTASTICA!

DAY 3 of our Singapore Trip
For our 3rd day, I'm pretty sure we indeed leave from buddy's home early but I guess the journey was too long & the walk was long too and our itinerary went haywire as some of us are already hungry even before start shopping. Well, imagine for not having any breakfast & go straight to shopping, meh?
So we decided to head for lunch first, but on our way to the Restaurant, there were just too much temptation. Eunice's cousin, Michelle reckons that La Senza had pretty good bargains for lingerie so it's a must stop destination. Well, the reason I said this is because our feet just wouldn't listen that we'll head back after lunch.
Eunice, Angie, Michelle & me grab some stuff at La Senza and I think that basically took more than our precious 45mins. Eunice was certainly the biggest customer in our bunch. All of us will almost faint if we don't head to the Restaurant quick, while Mr & Mrs Tiong only joined us after 3omins later.
We only set foot to the Ichiban Boshi Restaurant by 2.52pm & yes, we had a fantastic view for ourselves, the Suntec City.
My biggest thanks to Michelle & Megan. Thanks for being there with me & helped me through this. This is the first ever shot from my little baby.
Thank you Mr Tiong, for taking this picture at New York for us.
We was supposed to head to Clarke Quay after dinner, but look at all the shopping bags behind? Actually there's more, Mr & Mrs Tiong's portion and I guess it'll be tiring for us to go there and we won't enjoy it cuz need to look after our shopping bags again. They said it's a cool place to hang out, nice bar, nice atmosphere & most importantly, can check out people mah.
So we went to Chijmes, didn't have time to have drinks there as it's quite late & we fear we won't be able to get transport home. So instead, we had some photo taking sessions.Angie & Eunice were a little drunk taking too much picture.
DAY 2 of our Singapore Trip
By 1.13pm,we start our shopping spree mission at Wisma Atria, then to Takashimaya to shop for Christmas gift.
We only left Orchard at around 7pm to Bugis to shop again & met for dinner at the foodcourt. Jenny & me head to Bugis Street where the fashion suits us more but most of the shops are closed early for Christmas countdown. Just by 11.30pm, we head back to the cafe to countdown together.
All of us head back to home but we continued our celebration in buddy's room until 4am. By the time everyone was well asleep, my stomach decided to disturb me until early morning. Don't know what's wrong.....;-( I couldn't sleep at all.
P/S: In fact, there are a lot more pictures but it's either in Megan, Angie or Mrs Tiong's camera....

All GIRLS' aka Christmas & Chinese New Year shopping Spree TRIP!
Jenny & Eunice (isn't her dog cute?) She hide it through customs....
A quick snap with Aeroline at Pagoh rest stop. Others are just too busy shopping even at REST STOP! AI.....
Torn in between...Aeroline & Nice but I think I'll go with Angie.....cuz she looked like a Superstar
Mr & Mrs Tiong quite agrees too....
Me three agree too!! BORING.....
My buddy who had 2 nasi lemaks didn't dissapoint herself & bought some fruits as desserts. Everyone was either busy chatting or watching the movie or checking out each other. Other than that, Jenny was complaining it was hard to piss inside the mobile toilet in the bus as it was too small & it hit her head, haha!
By 3.37pm, we've already passed through the Singapore Customs....
We drop our bags & came out immediately to meet at "Lau Pa Sat"? There's just too much "pan mee" stall at that foodcourt but everyone had a gala dinner. Megan were asking if we're too tired & would retire to home after dinner & we were all shocked! "Wat?! At 8pm in Singapore, U want us to go home?! And all the way to the foodcourt already?! And just after taken dinner?! WAT?!" Haha...poor her cuz she got to go to work the next morning but all of us were just too hyper, I guess.
Let's just continue our 2nd chapter of the trip when I have time tomorrow, or perhaps the day after, I'm just really tired.
